Project Controls Manager

TECHNICAL SUPPORT GROUP is currently recruiting for a PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER for a Saskatchewan based opportunity to work in an EPC/M environment.
 
Job Description:
  • Ability to influence change and build consultative partnerships with the project teams
  • Leading the development and ensuring compliance of company control systems and documentation for the project
  • Responsible for leading and developing a team of project services professionals
  • Preparing cost reports, developing cost forecasts and Monitoring cost performance
  • Reporting on project deviations and participating in the development of mitigation plans
  • Providing leadership for project planning and scheduling activities
  • Assembling and coordinating weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Leading cost and schedule analysis
  • Maintaining the project change control system
  • Working closely with client's operations management team
 
Job Requirements:
  • Graduated from a Technical College or have an Engineering Degree
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent ability in developing effective work breakdown structures, following company procedures and instructions
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Primavera, MS Project and experience working with project management systems
  • Experience working in a consulting/contracting environment
  • Knowledge in contracts and supply chain management
  • Good planning and organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
