Our client, an industry leader in Cambridge has an opening for CAD Designers for their Cambridge location.
CAD Detailer - AutoCAD
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting directly to the Project Engineering Supervisor, the CAD Designer is responsible to perform design/ detailing activities during the contract process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce assembly and detail drawings
- Prepare layout and arrangement drawings
- Prepare design calculations as assigned by the Senior CAD Designer or Project Engineer
- Ensure standard design and drawing procedures are adhered to
- Prepare module, module components and piping layouts
- Prepare ducting components and arrangement drawings
- Ensure drawing quality and accuracy
- Perform additional assignments per Project Engineering Supervisor's direction
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Experience in shop drawings/drafting (weldments, etc)
- Minimum of three (3) years AutoCAD experience
- Minimum of one (1) 3D Modelling Experience
- Candidates will be tested on AutoCAD
- General knowledge of GD&T
