Piping Designer

Duties/Responsibilities:
 
Design and drafting of piping drawings including studies, plot plans, equipment layouts, and general arrangement drawings
 
Preparation of material take-offs (BOMs)
 
Review and coordination of vendors and other discipline documents
 
Preparation of line lists, valve lists, and tie-in lists
 
Checking of drawings
 
Mentoring of more junior designers
 
 
Qualifications:
 
5 to 15 years of Piping drafting and layout experience
 
Proficiency of 3D software such as PDS.
 
SmartPlant experience will be beneficial.
 
ASD software will be used and training will be provided if required.
 
Should be able to work independently with minimal guidance.
