Process Design Engineer

Brief Description

• Do you want to use your engineering skills designing equipment for a truly global company? If the answer is positive, you could become our new colleague in Process Design & Proposals department in FLSmidth - Air Pollution Control. We provide the sizing of dust removal and additional equipment for FLSmidth Sales departments worldwide, together with our colleagues in India. Look forward to joining a team of 10 skilled colleagues, consisting of Chemical and Mechanical Engineers as well as Technicians with experience in the field.

Detailed Description

• Select the right size and design new equipment
• You will design equipment for new projects based on inquiries and customer requirements. In this respect, you will cooperate closely with our global Sales departments and the System Design department, which is responsible for elaborating proposal drawings and calculations. An important success criteria is your ability to select the right size of electrostatic precipitators or fabric filters for each project.

In detail you will:

• size the electrostatic precipitator or fabric filter
• decide on process design for additional equipment in projects
• perform process design for contract execution
• follow up on how the equipment performs to supply the design database for new projects with relevant know-how
• On occasions, you will perform onsite trouble-shooting or provide commissioning assistance, which means that you can anticipate up to 60 yearly travel days. All in all, you can anticipate a challenging position where your tasks will vary as to content and complexity.

Job Requirements

• Technical degree or solid experience from similar position
• You could be a Chemical Engineer, or you could have solid experience from a position as Process Engineer. Whichever the case, we will make sure to provide you with challenges that meet your level of expertise as long as you are also willing to develop your skills and learn new. If you have experience of programming languages, it will be an advantage. Moreover, you are able to work from the customers’ point of view, and you must have good communication skills. At the same time, your approach to your work is systematic, which enables you to deliver on your objectives in time. Although you thrive on working independently, colleagues can rely on your help in relation to complex problem-solving. Lastly, you are an MS Office superuser, and preferably, you master another major language besides English.
