Human Resources Business Partner (Senior HR Generalist)

Description and Desired Qualifications

  • Our HR Business Partner career is an individual contributor role that implements firm-wide Human Resource initiatives, policies, programs and consulting services. You should be a self-motivated HR Generalist with at least eight years of diverse Human Resource experience supporting a mix of business groups that deliver both non-federal/federal consulting, engineering and construction projects and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.

Our Human Resources Business Partners:

  • Implement the human resource (OneHR) strategies required to meet the enterprise business goals and objectives
  • Implement business planning, strategic and change management initiatives for multiple locations and business groups
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders within the business and the global OneHR team 
  • Coach, challenge and provide guidance to people leaders to develop excellent people management and supervisor responsibilities
  • Advocate the HR value proposition as an informed business partner and assist to drive business objectives
  • Provide guidance in interpreting and applying compliance, regulations, policy, procedures and employment law
  • Provide input for the development and utilization of HR metrics, data, work processes, systems and tools to effectively manage the business operations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive and diverse HR Generalist experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling Employee Relations
  • Demonstrated HR business partner or HR Generalist consultation at senior management levels
  • Demonstrated analytical and work process management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability for collaboration and consensus management across a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and use sound judgment with limited functional guidance and oversight
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate will meet the preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working for a large company is highly desirable
  • Experience working with a call center environment
  • Experience working in a Professional Services or client utilization environment
  • Mix of experience supporting business groups/units/clients that deliver on both private sector and Federal government consulting, engineering and construction project is preferred
  • Academic emphasis in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or International Business is preferred
  • Master’s Degree
  • Professional HR certification (SPHR, GPHR, PHR)
