Software Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

• Quality Assurance Engineers work with design teams to ensure that electronic and software subsystems incorporated into medical devices are designed in accordance with product requirements and the device meets its intended use. They develop and perform verification and validation activities on medical devices and medical device systems. Testing involves GUI testing, black-box system testing, environmental testing, requirements based functional testing and low-level hardware testing & fault simulation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain verification & validation test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Lead and/or assist in the execution of verification test procedures.
• Clearly document and review test results, measurement detail, and test anomalies throughout the verification test process.

Qualifications:

• Experience in software testing. 
• Primarily business applications, database, web applications. 
• Some experience in writing test scripts.
• BS/MS in Bio Med, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• Requires 3-6 years of prior testing experience, preferably in the medical device field.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills. 
• Experience in working with customers and understanding customers’ needs.
• Required Skills for Software Quality Engineer Job:
• Engineering Degree (Computer Science/Electrical Engineer/Software Engineer/ Biomedical Engineer)
• 3+ Years Electronic Product Testing
• 3+ Years’ Experience in the Creation And Maintenance of Requirements Based Test Procedures
