Our client is a mining company with a long and important association with the Pilbara Region of Western Australia and the states iron ore sector. They have the capability and experience gained through the development of earlier projects to ensure successful development of this large scale Greenfields Mine Port and Rail development.
The role of Senior Projects Manager for Buildings and facilities infrastructure will join a successful team bringing extensive mine site experience for the delivery of the buildings and facilities scope as defined in Bankable Feasibility Study.
Based in Perth this role will be involved in taking accountability for the management of design and construction contractors along with the Project Management Consultancy team (PMC) for those packages under EPC consultancies. You will ensure delivery is on schedule and on budget for this crucial project providing ongoing opportunities for the next three years.
Integral to your mandate will be ensuring effective relationships are built and maintained with other department and stakeholders. You will select, train and retain a highly skilled project team and ensure that effective working relationships are built and maintained with other departments and stakeholders within all business units. A true matrix style of management will be required for multiple site contractors and design teams to be led.
You must have technical and commercial accountability experience in delivery of large scale resources projects infrastructure and buildings scope or works.

Minimum requirements for the role are:
- 10+ years experience in similar role within resources industry
- 5+ years proven track record of delivery of buildings infrastructure on large scale projects
- Tertiary degree in project management or engineering
- Experience within leading large teams of people
- Proven track record of training and mentoring teams of highly skilled professionals
- Ability to grow and develop business development whilst managing client relationships
