Senior Mine Planning Engineer

A rare Perth based opportunity with a leading iron ore producer has become available due to continuing expansion. The company is renowned for its dynamic work culture and is undertaking large scale exploration, study and expansion. 
 
You have the opportunity to join their Operations Planning team and provide high level technical input. Your key duties will include planning support for the company’s various operations, mine design, budgeting and cost modelling. You will work closely with the resource strategy team and with the Strategic Planning team, ensuring the operational plans are developed in line with the strategic plans.
 
As the ideal candidate you will possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering and extensive experience in a Mine Planning role in open pit mining. You will posses excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to excel as part of a team. This is a high level technical role and you will excel in this capacity with strong mine planning skills and a sound knowledge of the relevant software.
