Our client is a global manufacturer & distributor of industrial pumps into the mining, oil & gas, chemical and power sectors. With a leading presence in Australia that has been established over the last thirty years, and employing ninety employees across various office locations, the business prides itself on the quality of its products & consultative approach of its employees.
Due to an internal vacancy, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Engineer to join this intimate team.
You will report into the State Manager for Victoria, and be responsible for managing key accounts in your designated territory. These clients will come from the mining, oil & gas, chemical & power markets, and your role will entail providing technical product solutions to service these customers & continue to win their business. The role will also give you the scope to generate new leads and new business moving forward, and will entail a mix of being out on the road and in the office based in the South-Eastern suburbs.
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid track record in sales as well as a strong technical aptitude. Ideally, you will have sold pumps or a similar product range into the mining and oil & gas industries. An engineering qualification would also be advantageous. Additionally, you will possess excellent communication & presentation skills and have the ability to present to a range of clients.
