Senior Underground Production Engineer

  • FIFO Perth, 8/6 - 1 hour flight time, 7.30am flight, mine 5 mins from airstrip

UNDERGROUND PRODUCTION ENGINEER
 
My client is a large high grade hard rock producer with a smooth running, low cost UG mine 1 hours flight from Perth.  Due to their mine extension, they are seeking a Production Engineer.
 
Reporting to the G.M, responsibilities include:
  • Developing ideas for process improvements
  • Managing and overseeing Production team, giving direction and mentoring to their Production Engineer
  • Overseeing the Drill & Blast Engineering function
  • Provide timely advice on mining methods to achieve company objectives.
  • Short & Medium Term Mine Planning
  • Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety are met
Ideal candidates will have:
  • Degree Mine Engineering 
  • Min 4 years experience in an Underground environment
  • Good understanding of UG mining methods and techniques 
  • Familiarity with relevant mining software 
  • Supervisory experience
