Heavy Duty Fitter / Leading Hand

If you are a qualified Heavy Duty Fitter with experience as a Leading Hand, we have jobs for you. Working closely with a well established mining contractor, there is currently a high demand for Leading Hand fitters, and as a result several positions are now available.

To be considered for the position, you will need to be trade qualified with a Certificate III in Automotive (Heavy Vehicle) with experience in a leading hand role. You must also hold a current drivers license and be able to pass a pre employment medical. A HR license is highly desirable but not essential. The position will involve you servicing and maintaining a fleet of mobile plant machinery, therefore you must have diagnostic skills. Equipment used on site is predominantly CAT, in particular, large graders, dozers, dump trucks, loaders and excavators.
 
These positions are based on various rosters including either 8/6, 2/1 or 2/2 and can vary from being FIFO, DIDO, local or residential roles. Camp conditions vary also however most sites offer modern camp facilities including Foxtel, internet and wet mess.
