Our client is a leading geotechnical specialist organisation with a reputation for quality and innovation within the field of ground improvement and geotechnical engineering.

They currently have a requirement for a proactive Regional Safety Supervisor with an area of coverage encompassing Northern NSW, Queensland and the Northern Territory.

The role will manage and provide support in the areas of health, safety and environment for the designated region of responsibility.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Establish a strong link across the northern operations & our Client’s OHS & Environment Management teams to ensure full compliance with Internal and External HSE policies, systems and procedures,
  • Provide accurate and strategic KPI reporting and analysis for the National Safety & Environment Manager to ensure the organisation is well informed and are able to track the company’s progress,
  • Develop & implement site safety plans & provide technical support and advice for all HSE strategies as required,
  • Ensure all risk control strategies from the ‘Safe Work Procedures’ and, ‘Task Based Risk Assessments’ are reviewed and implemented on all sites,
  • Provide technical information to business development and tendering opportunities
  • Provide technical support and advice on legislative and Company requirements,
  • Undertake continuous improvement activities, auditing and coaching at sites,
  • Ensure all accreditation activities are achieved within budget and time frame,
  • Maintain database records and generate accurate reporting data,
  • Maintain established computerised HSE record management system, including registers and databases,
  • Follow standard procedures using existing models / fields of information,
  • Work with Sites to ensure HSE compliance requirements are achieved,
About you
  • You will have a minimum of Certificate IV in OHS, however degree qualification or advanced diploma highly regarded
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position within the heavy civil or heavy engineering industries,
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation and application principals (Environment & Occupation Health & Safety),
  • Have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels of a project, with the determination to exert a positive influence and to lead by example,
  • Certificate IV in Training and assessment will be highly regard, 
  • Qualifications and experience in auditing and investigation techniques will be highly regarded
