Plant Operator (Asphalt) - Brownwood Quarry

Job Description

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a hot-mix asphalt plant.
• Operating duties include temperature control, ingredient control and customer truck loading.
• Also responsible for clean-up and minor maintenance of plant equipment.
• Reports mechanical failures, and/or material inconsistencies to supervisor.

Required Skills

• Requires at least three years asphalt plant operating experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Performs duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently observing all safety and health rules
• Customer Service – Good communication skills will interact with customers and vendors on a daily basis.
• Computer System - Inputs numeric data and operational data into a computer system for asphalt plant production activities.
