Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

  • Attractive permanent staff or long term contract position & Perth CBD location
Client:
Our client is an internationally renowned EPCM who provide specialized engineering & project management solutions to the resources industry. Currently involved in significant $500 mil + EPCM minerals processing projects across iron ore, copper & diamond they now require a Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems to join the Perth team.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years plus experience as a Electrical Engineer with formal engineering qualifications
  • Strong mining experience essential. Previous EPCM experience a strong advantage
  • Strong leadership capabilities and excellent team skills
  • Excellent reporting skills and knowledge of relevant design standards
  • A track record in the following aspects of Electrical Engineering
  • Power Generation engineering including utilizing large Diesel generators as applied to mining type projects with generation up to 100 MW.
  • LV + HV networks and switchgear up to 33kV. Up to 132kV a key advantage
  • Transformer sizing & cable sizing and selection calculations
  • Power/protection studies using ETAP or similar
  • Ability to deliver to the CAD designers conceptual Single Line and Schematic Drawings
