Principal Geochemist

Principal Geochemist required for a gold mining company in Saudi Arabia, to provide geochemical support for the team throughout the process and help with the supervision of exploration work with the specific objectives of discovering, testing and defining metallic and non-metallic mineral resources for the company. Responsibilities will include developing geochemical concepts, models and strategies based upon the developing experience and understanding of the team; making frequent visits to field sites to ensure proper implementation of technical standards and field procedures; providing comprehensive geochemical data, images and interpretation plans for specific exploration projects and areas and developing an effective geochemical database. 


Requirements for the role will include a BSc in Geology or Geochemistry and preferably an MSc. in MIS or GIS. Minimum of 15 years previous experience including some previous field and staff geological experience in the mining exploration industry, including project experience. This is a single status position in Saudi Arabia with FIFO from point of hire.
