Senior Drill & Blast Engineer

Randstad are partnering with a major coal mining company in the mining & resources sector to appoint a highly skilled Senior Drill & Blast Engineer to provide technical advice and strategic support for the coordination of safe, efficient and productive blasting operations at one of there sites in the Bowen Basin.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess:
Operational mining experience in a Open Cut Drill and Blast role and be tertiary qualified in an engineering discipline
Strong computer literacy especially in the use of Vulcan software for the purpose of engineering design and cost analysis
Technical and analytical skills in relation to the application of explosives, productivity and efficiency of operations
Experience in the coordination of drilling, blasting & design operations
The ability to demonstrate a hands on practical and proactive working relationship with on site drilling and blasting contractors.
