This is an organisation that has a highly visible presence in the market and has been appointed to a plethora of high-profile Technology supplier panels across the country. As they continue on their journey of growth across A/NZ, they are looking to augment their highly proficient Team with the addition of a Practice Manager for (Mining) and Automation Control Systems.

The Practice Manager for Mining and Automation will be responsible to lead the Australian practice, to maintain existing operations and drive growth in sales and resources. This role will require longstanding Mining domain experience across the sector and knowledge of industrial Controls (SCADA, PLC, DCS) & Factory Automation (Field Devices, MES etc). 

Major Activities:

• Hunt for opportunities in new accounts and mine existing accounts for new opportunities in PE&MS areas
• Understand customer challenges and provide feasible solutions (proactive where possible) to the challenges faced
• Be able to craft and showcase existing and new solutions to Engineering heads/managers
• Engage with Account BDMs and plan jointly w.r.t approach and activities for Business Development within accounts
• Develop long term relationship with appropriate stake holders within customers, some of whom should be referanceable
• Engage with Partners and establish the company as a partner of choice
• Engage with stakeholders at backend and work with them for crafting opportunities

Professional Experience:

• An Engineering Bachelor. Formal Degree or experience in mining will be a plus.
• The candidate should have worked with the product development and customization for Natural resources and should have experience in development of automation systems and IT solutions used for natural resource extraction, processing and distribution.
• Should have knowledge of industrial Controls (SCADA, PLC, DCS) & Factory Automation (Field Devices, MES etc ) for both petroleum and non-petroleum resources.
• Should have the experience in working with /selling products or services to companies in this domain.
• Experience with Utility/distribution companies will be a plus.
• Should be ready to travel 30-40% of the time.
• 10+ years in the IT industry out of which 2-3 years should be in a pre-sales/Business Development role.
• A pre-sales/BDM role executed for an Indian IT services provider would be an advantage.
• Experience and understanding in crafting and selling solutions in Product Engineering or Mobility Services
• Understanding of the onsite - offshore delivery model
• Experience in dealing with customers in the A/NZ Geography
