Department Description- Production Control:

• The primary purpose of the Production Control department is to ensure all production shop work is clearly scheduled to maximize efficiency and delivery standards.

• The Production Control Manager will ensure all production shop work is clearly scheduled to maximize efficiency and delivery standards.
• This will be accomplished with an unwavering commitment to robust data and date integrity.

Detailed Description

Functions:

• Ensure the Production Coordinator completes tasks.
• Run exception reports to maintain data integrity.
• Track and Publish Various Metrics.
• Work with the Shop Floor Manager to ensure the needs of the floor are met.
• Strive to continually find improvements.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality work instructions, etc.
• Ability to write routine correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees and/or customers of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer Skills:
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software and have the ability to create graphs and charts.
