Metallurgist

The successful candidate will have completed a B.S. in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy or Materials Science Engineering. Ideally the candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience in steel manufacturing and will possess an overall knowledge of steel plant operation. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Quality assurance, process control and metallurgical aspects of melting, refining and casting steel billets.
• Providing technical support to the operation of the electric arc furnace, ladle furnace and continuous caster.
• Emphasis will be on process improvement projects to maintain and enhance quality, productivity and reduce costs.
