Job Description: Cost Control Scheduling Engineer (Mining)
Type: Permanent Salary: $80 000 - $90 000
Location : North Eastern Canada (Schefferville, Labrador)
Overview:
The People Bank is currently looking for a Cost Control Scheduling Engineer (Mining) for their client, one of the world?s top 10 steel producers.
The project they are currently working on is at construction stage and due to start up in the following months. Responsibilities:
The incumbent will provide cost Engineering , estimating and scheduling services for the ongoing Project as requested by the senior project manager.
The chosen candidate will be a strong minded individual with the ability to reduce cost for the ongoing project Liaise with the Construction Manager, Project Controls Manager , EPCM on a regular basis and be up to date of any work on project which might have schedule and / or cost implications Work with Project Cost Control Manager with relation to Costs Incurred on the contract Analyze productivities / trends .
Highlight potential impacts of changes on Cost / Schedule
Experience:
Five to ten years experience in large scale industrial construction projects
Knowledge of cost Engineering principles
Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Cost Engineering Principles and Cost and Schedule planning software
