Drill and Blast Engineer - UG FIFO Perth - $134 (mid range) 172K

Our client is a well established Perth based mining company that current employ over 500 people. They are a top 200 company operating debt free. They specialise in mining predominantly gold and nickel across Western Australia. Due to a restructure they currently require a Drill and Blast Engineer to work on a Nickel mine based south of Kambalda. 
 
As drill and Blast Engineer your will be responsible for the following:
 
- Drill and Blast planning and design 
- Technical support to drill and blast operations 
- Working with the wider engineering teams 
- Involvement of short & medium planning 
- Project work as required 
 
 
The successful candidate must have at least 12 months experience in an office based drill and blast role. The capacity to undertake planning and design is vital. Underground experience is also essential. Experience working in a nickel mile is advantageous though not essential. Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering are required as well as experience of software such as Surpac (or Vulcan)
