Senior Project Manager

Our client, an EPCM company based in Mississauga, ON, specializing in the mining is looking for a Senior Project Manager. This role will be responsible is accountable for managing and directing the overall project activities and its resources to produce results in alignment with project requirements.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Ensuring that the quality of output from the project team is aligned with the needs of the project, the company objectives and the requirements of the client
• Developing and maintaining project specific procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enable the project team to work efficiently
• Maintaining a consistent approach and high standard of work
• Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the project control (reporting, costs, schedule, trends, change management) in terms of both direct and indirect costs in accordance with the contract and procedures
• Developing and maintaining client relationships

Successful applicants will ideally display the following skills and attributes:

• Minimum of 15 years Project Management experience in minerals processing
• Experience in the management of both Greenfield and Brownfield projects
• Experience managing major resource projects on an EPCM basis
• International Project Management experience
• Broad multi-disciplinary base in mineral processing plant / infrastructure construction
• Excellent people management skills including experience managing large teams across various disciplines
• Demonstrated understanding and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community and industrial relations issues
• Engineering degree or equivalent (desirable)
