The Company
An international mining house, primarily focussed on Gold, Silver and Zinc and have a number of advanced exploration projects within close proximity to Kalgoorlie. The company prides itself on professional operations systems, team environment and career development of all staff.

This client acts as owner manager and outsources operations to a major contractor. 

The Role
Our client are looking for a Senior Mining Engineer - Open Pit. The potential exists to move into a Mining Manager role:

• Generation of long-term, and strategic plans
• Liaising with site based technical services personnel to communicate plans effectively    
• Pre-production mining work
• Developing cost models and projected budgets for mining operations 
• Scheduling and budgeting aspects for future open pit mining
• Drill and Blast designs
• Mentoring and internal training of mining engineers.

The Candidate 
This is a permanent career role and as such will suit someone looking for career development, WA based residential role and interested in working owner side with an international size company. Base requirements are:

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• At least five year’s experience in open pit mining 
• Quarry Manager / Mine Manager ticket
• Preferred Surpac or GEMS experience or similar
