An excellent opportunity for Trade Training Officer (Trade Streaming) - Auto Electrical  has arisen to join our Plant Dept  team. Residentially based in Sangatta Mine Project, East Kalimantan and reporting to Plant Manager. You will need to provide electrical trade and allied training / assessment for TCI personnel in order to increase the productivity with a high focus on safety, maintenance and repair capability (skill) of Thiess' personnel. And to ensure that TCI training requirements for tradesman personnel are being conducted in accordance with the TMS.
The scope of your role will include but not be limited to deliver effective theoretical Auto Electrical training in accordance with TCI TMS and the requirements of  the Australian National Metals and Engineering Industry Competency Standards; conduct relevant practical training; conduct other allied training courses in qualified competencies and in accordance with the TMS; assist in the development of relevant practical training aids; conduct tradesman assessment activities in accordance with TCI TMS and relevant Australian competency standards; ensure all attained competencies are recorded in both hard and soft copy; assist in the design of tradesman assessment material which is relevant to used competency standards; review & update all assessment materials based on current requirement; conduct tests and examinations for tradesman personnel;  monitoring, recording, processing all assessment activities and evidences; assist in conducting competency assessment for Tradesman (AUTO Electrical & HV Electrical) as well as ensuring that OJT is consistent with the training requirements; provide guidance and technical advice to all tradesmen (AUTO Electrical & HV Electrical) in the workplace.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum Trade and/ or Electrical Engineering Qualifications; minimum 5 years experience in a same role; Training & Development  knowledge; supervisory experience; good in English (verbal & written); presents arguments; facts and instructions in a clear, fluent and convincing  manner; influencing/ motivating;  ability to coach/ mentoring; facilitating; personal Impact & effectiveness; use in training delivery equipment; and conceptual & lateral thinking.
