A top mining house with operations bases in Mpumalanga is in search of an exceptional Ventilation Superintendent to join their team in 2012 to co-ordinate and manage the total hygiene and ventilation management function within the company.

Candidates interested in this exciting new position MUST have the following:

• A three year Tertiary Qualification in Mine Environmental Control or an equivalent qualification. 
• An Advanced Certificate In Mine Environmental Control (essential) 
• Medical certificate of fitness. 
• Registration as an Occupational Hygienist with SAIOH will be an advantage. 
• Membership of the Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa (MVS) will be an advantage.
• The successful individual must have at least 7 years relevant experience in an underground coal mining environment, Knowledge of hazard assessment and risk management and knowledge of Occupational Health Systems (OHAS 18001) and Occupational and Environmental Health Management.
