Temp Buyer

Requirements:

• Matric/ Grade 12 certificate
• Suitable post matric qualification
• 2 years buying experience
• Operating computer systems
• Understand the principles of Total Cost Of Ownership (TCO)
• Understand the Procurement to Pay Cycle
• Understand the principles of Contract Management
• Determine type of quote required and prepare RFQ documentation
• Select suitable vendors and transmit purchasing documents to vendors
• Maintain and analyse quotes
• File RFQ documentation
• Create and transmit Purchase Orders for Corporate
• Monitor all auto orders to ensure that they have been successfully transmitted
• Liaise any problem with Purchase Orders with customers
• Maintain SAP Purchase Orders (Delivery Complete and Commitments)
• Expedite pro-actively all auto purchase orders to avoid out-of-stock situations at the Business Units
• Liaise with requisitioners on items delivered, but with no goods receipt (obtain proof of delivery from supplier)
• Report non-performance of Suppliers on delivery to contract administrators
• Investigate reasons and process Blocked Invoices
• Analyse spend on commodity categories and make recommendations for improvements on auto order
• Create and maintain vendor, service and material master data
• Compile monthly report on group buyers statistics
• Compile monthly report on area of responsibility
• Comply with Financial Policies and Procedures
• Protect company assets
• Applicant must reside in the Witbank or surrounding area.
