Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

Salary: $100 000 per year

Experience Required:

• Certified Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic (or similar relevant experience)
• Three to Five years experience working on bull-dozers, loaders, track/trailers, etc., in a mining or industrial operations setting;
• Strong knowledge and skill in maintenance and repair of diesel equipment; as well as knowledge of mine operations policies and procedures and standards.
• The chosen candidate must be able to perform heavy tasks, such as lifting heavy equipment and being able to work in adverse conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and conduct breakdown repairs within planned timeframes, without compromising the functionality of the equipment;
• At ease with reports on maintenance, repairs, overhaul and test equipment according to the manufacturers recommendations;
• Ability to troubleshoot with little help or supervision and be proficient in the use of all hand tools and mechanical equipment;
• Keep safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations;
• Do the inspection of mobile and stationary equipment for problems or required repairs.
• Be able to perform complex diagnostic procedures on all site equipment and determine the appropriate maintenance and repairs accordingly;
