Job Description:
- Aerotek Engineering is actively seeking an Environmental Project Engineer for federal remediation projects to be based out of the Denver office. This is a production position with experience designing remediation systems required and PE license preferred. Our client is global leader in Federal environmental efforts and has offices nationally.
Project Duties
- Write pilot study work plans and develop full scale remedial design work plans for in-situ remediation projects at former missile sites
- Supervise, lead and support the implementation of remedial activities including coordination and oversight of subcontractors.
- Prepare remedial design and construction completion reports, and develop O&M procedures and manuals.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and optimization of existing remediation systems.
- Provide support and input to management team related to remediation system selection, cost estimating, and proposal preparation.
- Prepare summary reports of remedial activities documenting the successful operation and maintenance of the systems.
Requirements
- Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills that is able to work independently.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in designing, constructing, and operating in-situ enhanced bioremediation systems.
- Broad range of experience and familiarity with various other types of remediation systems and strategies.
- Experience reviewing and evaluating system performance to optimize performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Good working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project.
- Experience developing and writing pilot study and full scale remedial design work plans.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead other remediation team members and manage subcontractors.
- Prepare daily project progress and quality control reports.
Education Required
- BS degree in Engineering
- PE License in CO, NE, or WY a plus
