Sr. Tool Crib Coordinator

Job Summary:

• Operate tool crib. Serve as a tool information resource. Maintain tools, supplies, equipment and related records. Provide tools and assistance to branch store tool cribs. Research and analyze tool and material vendors to find the best values. Purchase tools and supplies as needed with supervisor's approval.

Essential Functions:

• Disperses tools, supplies and equipment for all branches.
• 2Inspects and stores tools and equipment.
• Maintains tools and equipment.
• Repairs small tools.
• Ships all tools requiring outside repair to the repair vendor the same day they are received.
• Maintains optimum quantities of tools, equipment and supplies.
• Maintains records pertaining to inventory, supply usage, and tool distribution and history.
• Maintains overstock tooling sales records, damaged tooling purchases, and picture file records.
• Maintains supply resale logs for minimum of one year. Maintains supply purchase requisitions.
• Maintains tool purchase records, Parts Sales Orders for warranty coverage’s, demands, etc.
• Assists tool crib users.
• Works safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Keeps crib area clean.
• Disburses safety materials and equipment.
• Disburses shop towels. Stores, disburses, and logs daily shop towel usage.
• Maintains fluid tanks, barrel crib and oils pumping system.
• Maintains an adequate supply of barrel crib oil.
• Coordinates with the yard personnel on proper stocking, disposal, and organization of barrel crib area. Maintains, repairs and coordinates repairs on oil pumps, hose reel system and components.
• Pumps and ships branch store oil and solvent demands in clean drums.
• Maintains oil charge outs daily via supply resale log. Coordinates with waste oil company on sales and pickup of waste oil. Coordinates propane fuel and fire extinguishers.
• Controls vending machine reimbursements.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Must accomplish training and serve as a Green Belt in support of [Company]  Six Sigma program.
• Work within and promote corporate values.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Must have mechanical knowledge sufficient to recognize tools and tool usage, and repair small tools.
• Must have interpersonal and organizations skills
• Must have knowledge of inventory storage and disbursement.
• Must accomplish training and serve as a Green Belt in support of [Company]  Six Sigma program.
• Work within and promote corporate values.
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

Education and Experience:

• Prefer Inventory control methods and procedures knowledge.
• Prefer Tool room attendant experience with heavy equipment.
• Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum 3 years’ experience in an Electric Power Generation field.
• Must have training in Electric Power Generation.
• Must exhibit skills and knowledge in Electric Power Generation.
• Must have the ability to understand warranty policies and core criteria.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a very fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
