Our client, an established and respected mining house is looking to add a Senior Mine Geologist to its team at their high grade, underground copper mine based in Central NSW.
The Senior Mine Geologist role reports into the Geology Superintendent and works closely with senior management and sits within a great team. With extension projects already approved to extend the life of the mine, this offers an excellent, stable opportunity.
As Senior Mine Geologist your accountabilities will include:
Grade control and stockpile management
Supervision of the geology team and mentoring graduates
Mine planning and scheduling
Implementing an effective exploration programme investigating alternative techniques
Maximise the profitable extraction of the high grade copper in a cost effective and timely manner
The successful applicant must have the following qualifications and experience:
Recognised tertiary qualifications in Geology
Minimum 3 years underground base metals experience
Strong knowledge of Mine Planning software - Datamine, Surpac and Acquire preferred if possible
Excellent communication skills, work ethic and ability to work well within a team
