Key duties include

• Lead and direct a positive, proactive and dynamic team
• Supervision and assessment of environmental management systems
• Assist with the strategic development of environmental management plans 
• Advise site management team on environmental practices
• Manage and report on sustainability and carbon efficiency
• Development of procedures and training programs
• Advising and supporting the operations team to meet environmental standards
• Supervision and assessment of environmental management systems
• Preparing compliance and performance reports to meet company and regulatory requirements
• Impact assessment and approvals, monitoring, environmental management systems.

You will need

• Degree or relevant Environmental Science qualifications
• Experience with environmental management systems
• Have a practical working knowledge of relevant Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation and support of an ISO14001 based environmental management system
• Have strong leadership and management skills
• Previous experience in a similar role within mining
• Good administration and record keeping skills
