Open Cut Examiner - Coal Mine - Queensland - Up to $200k

Our client is a leading mining and civil construction contractor. They have been operating for more than 25 years and have grown to an annual turnover in excess of $1 billion, employing more than 3,000 people across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

They are currently looking for an experienced Open Cut Examiner for one of their operations in Queensland.

As the Open Cut Examiner your role will include:

• Monitoring, inspecting and reporting across mining operations to ensure all activities and conditions are safe, compliant with relevant legislation and the Mines SHEC requirements
• Provide technical knowledge for correct drilling and blasting procedures
• Assisting with accident and incident investigations (including risk assessments)
• Identify areas of improvements to ensure efficiency
• Supervision of production crews

To be considered for the role of Open Cut Examiner you will require

• Queensland OCE Statutory Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years experience in an open cut mining environment
• Candidates must hold a current QLD Coal Board Medical, Generic Coal Surface Induction, S1/2/3
• Safety focused with strong communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of Queensland coal legislative requirements
