Senior Mine Engineer

A respected international organisation that specialises in copper, zinc and gold extraction requires an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join their flagship underground operation in Queensland.  With a life of mine expectancy of more than seven tears combined with the production of high quality ore this is not an opportunity to miss.

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, your primary responsibilities will be the development and implementation of the blast design and short term planning outputs, which will include the budgeting, cost modeling and forecasting. You will be an integral part of the underground team liaising closely with the Geotechnical Engineers and Geologists whilst supervising two junior Mine Engineers to ensure operation targets are met in a safe and effective manner.

To be successful you will have a related degree in Mining Engineering and proven experience in an underground metalliferous mine. As you will be working in a multi-disciplinary team it is essential that you have excellent verbal and written communications skills. It will also be highly advantageous that you are literate in mining specific software.
