Pro-Tec Systems Application Analyst

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop, troubleshoot and otherwise maintain the PRO-TEC Level III Business System, which includes the Commercial, Metallurgy, Business Planning, Operations, Warehouse & Shipping, and Processed Products applications
• Evaluate and estimate the effort to develop as well as implement minor enhancements to existing applications
• Develop functional specifications, application code, test and implement new applications and minor enhancements in conjunction with other team members
• Be responsible for supporting the critical systems in timely fashion
• Interact with Team Manager and Information Architect, as well as other BSC and non-BSC personnel
• Utilize authorized software applications to manage work and track requests for services

Minimum Requirements (Requirements that are essential for performing the job):

• Candidates are required to have extensive working knowledge and experience in IMS / COBOL / CICS / DB2, as well as IBM mainframe tools and utilities.

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Java or Websphere would be considered a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree with 10+ years of experience required
