My client is a cash rich investor with a 'passive' investment portfolio of prestigious global, mining projects.
They require a Business Development Manager within their mining division to oversee the companies investment appetite to review and qualify new potential projects for commodities such as Iron Ore, Coal and Bauxite both underground and open pit.
The BD Manager would be required to write reports and communicate to the Board of Directors, liaise with Mining consultancies and supervise their commercial/financial affiliates. There would also be a requisite to mentor and guide local staff.
The role is a residential role based in Oman, with extensive overseas travel (business class flights)
Suitable candidates will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering/Geology
MBA in Business/Commerce/Mineral Economics
Must have experience with cash flow and commercial negotiations' (dealing with equity and interest negotiations)
Supervisory skills
Excellent communication skills
