Mechanical Engineer: Project Engineer

This organisation has been in Gladstone for over 10 years and is a fabrication and site erection business for structural steel, piping and mechanical projects. They have built a reputation locally through their involvement in local mining, industrial and heavy engineering projects.

They have won awards for the quality of their projects and their high levels of safety and the attitudes towards project delivery that they instill in their staffing team. 

Currently they are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to carry out the following responsibilities:

• Estimation and quantity take-offs for projects
• Assisting in feasbility studies for upcoming projects
• Project Engineering, following up on site progress and documentation
• Project Quality Assurance

The ideal applicant will hold a bachelor of mechanical engineering and will also have at least 2 years site based experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a fabrication workshop environment and/or out on site for structural steel erection on mining and heavy industrial projects. The person will also be enthusiastic and willing to expand on their existing knowledge of fabrication, mechanical and structural steel project engineering experience.
