Project Director

Our client is currently recruiting for Project Directors for Upstream onshore projects for Kazakhstan, Africa, and the Middle East.

minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (Chartered Engineer preferable)
• 10+ years’ relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

• A highly ambitious individual with a career path to expand into a corporate management role
• Exposure to large project P and L accountability

Responsibilities:

• Manage the tendering process and be able to take project from initiation to closeout
• Be accountable for all aspects of the Company contract. Delivering the project to the satisfaction of the client
• Plan, co-ordinate and manage FEED, Detailed Design and potentially procurement, construction and commissioning of large projects by directing a project manager or team of project managers/area managers
• Ensure clear agreement of client objectives and that these are met or exceeded
• Achieve or better the budgeted gross margin
• Direct the implementation of all functions of project management
• Identify, document and communicate the client requirements
• Effective management of the Company/Client contract, including delivery of the budget gross margin
• Manage and monitor project performance on an ongoing basis to identify issues and opportunities early and take pre-emptive action
• Direct the management of the design, procurement and construction activities to meet the project schedule
• Provide clear and focussed leadership for the project team to create a vision for project success and a strategy to fit that vision
