Yard Supervisor

Position Summary

• [Company] , a leader in materials management and one of the nation's largest full-line industrial distributors, is searching for a Yard Supervisor for our North Penn Pipe & Supply Customer Service Center in Troy, PA.  This position is responsible for the everyday operation of the warehouse, pipe yard and employees and for the scheduling of the truck deliveries.

Target Responsibilities
The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise all warehouse and yard employees, open or close warehouse to ensure the building and equipment are ready for the day.
• Monitor will call, answer phones, and work with customers to meet their needs.
• Assist in picking and packing sales orders as needed.
• Assist with inventory to maintain 90% or higher accuracy.
• Ensure that supplies for warehouse are sufficient.
• Schedule and assist with emergency deliveries.
• Be in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Be at Zero, complete daily walk through.
• Identify and correct all potential hazardous conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a related field, 7-10 years’ work experience preferred. He or she must also have an understanding of automated warehouse systems, and have positive verbal and written communication skills.
