Our client is a diversified global group who are currently focusing on the expansion of their Pilbara Manganese and Chromite mining.

Our client are currently seeking a Senior Mine Resource Geologist to join the Geology Team at their world class open pit Manganese operations and play a crucial role in the development of the grade control modelling on site. There are multiple pits in operation and they produce upwards of 1.2 million tonnes of high grade manganese per annum.

Reporting to the Geology Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

·    Creating, maintaining and validating geology and grade control models
·    Coordinating the end of month reconciliation of the models in conjunction with the senior mine geologists
·    Assisting with mentoring the senior geologists to develop their geological and estimation modelling skills as part of their career development
·    Providing assistance to the Mine Geology and Resource Development teams when required
·    Undertaking project work as required and agreed to by the Geology Manager
·    Liaising with Mine Planning in providing input to mining models
·    Promoting a proactive safety culture on site, with the objective of producing positive safety behaviours throughout the Company

To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of wire framing for geology models and resource estimation modelling. Previous experience with Surpac will be highly regarded, but not essential. You will also hold tertiary qualifications in Geology with exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
