Mechanic

We are currently recruiting Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics. This position is located in British Columbia working with one of the world’s premier mining companies. Our client is looking for someone that can hit the ground running.

Requirements:

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic ;
• 2-5 years as a Journeyman Mechanic in an industrial/mining operations setting;
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of diesel equipment; as well as strong knowledge of mine operations standards, policies and procedures;
• Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting heavy equipment; in addition to working in adverse conditions (remote locations, camp environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform planned maintenance by scheduled dates in a cost effective and safe manner to maximize equipment availability;
• Safely troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems and conduct breakdown repairs within planned timeframes, without compromising the integrity of the equipment;
• Ability to prepare reports on maintenance, repairs, overhaul and test equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations;
• Perform complex diagnostic procedures on all site equipment and determine the appropriate maintenance and repairs accordingly;
• Ability to troubleshoot with little supervision and proficient in the use of all hand tools and mechanical equipment;
• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations;
• Inspect mobile and stationary equipment for defects or required repairs.

Salary

• $32-35.00 An extra 15.00 an hour on the weeks you are in camp
