Chief Mining Engineer

This exciting international company has been mining in WA for many years and gone from strength-to-strength in the development of its open pit operations. They are seeking a technical leader to step into an exciting Perth based role as Chief Mining Engineer.
 

Your main duties would revolve around high level technical support, encompassing planning from short to long term, design, optimisation, scheduling up to LOM, equipment selection, and development of strategy for future mining. You will be involved in studies for expansion projects or for taking on new projects, and will liaise regularly with both the team on site and the technical team in the Perth office. Reporting into the Technical Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the operations and company. 

 
As a highly experienced tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with proven experience in open pit mining operations you will hit the ground running in this challenging role. You are highly proficient in the relevant mine planning/optimisation software and possess strong technical skills across planning, design and scheduling.
