Company Info:
• As a fairly small mining services company our client is growing at a rapid rate and has doubled turnover for both of the last 2 years
• They work within a number of countries worldwide and will offer opportunities to grow both within the role and to move to other locations
• They will offer training on the product and systems as well as the CRM system PRONTO and continual on going training
Role Information:
• Managing a team of 5 you will be involved in both managing sales and operations staff, you will manage the customers expectations and ensure that timescales are being met
• As the country operations manager you will be working on a fly in fly out basis spending approximately 6 weeks in Sierra Leone and then 3 weeks off at home in the UK
• Working within a 3rd world country you will need to be able to deal with the day to day pressures as well as maintain a professional attitude with what can be demanding customers
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING
• Worked within metals & mining, minerals, oil and gas or ex-military
• Good communication skills and comfortable building rapport
• Respect for different cultures and ability to treat all people fairly
• Involved with procurement and logistics
IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING
• Experience working with PRONTO or a similar system like SAP or ORACLE
• Strong leadership experience and commercial savvy
• Experience working in a 2nd or 3rd world environment
