Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
Experience: 5 years or more
Area of Specialization: Geotechnical
Work Experience: Design, Project management, Project planning, Installation, maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities, Specification or technical writing, Management and administration
Work Setting: Engineering consulting company
Specific Skills: Develop and co-ordinate programs of geotechnical, geological, geophysical or geohydrological data acquisition, analysis and mapping, Prepare recommendations and reports for the construction or improvement of civil engineering projects, Develop and conduct studies in mining exploration, mine evaluation and feasibility studies
Additional Skills: Supervise technologists, technicians and other engineers and scientists
