Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time
Salary: $14.00 to $35.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification, 3rd Period Apprentice, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Major Work Area: Repair, Overhaul, Maintenance, Service, Recondition
Type of Equipment Repair: Heavy trucks, Heavy construction equipment, Diesel or diesel-electric mining machinery and equipment, Oilfield drill rig engines, Oilfield well servicing equipment, Stationary engines, Forklifts
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Test repaired equipment for proper performance, Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, Service attachments and working tools, Verify and repair emission control systems
Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Driver's validity license check
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
