Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Major Work Area: Machinery installation, Maintenance, Service, Repair
Area of Specialization: Assembling machinery and equipment, Adjusting machinery and equipment, Fabricating machine parts, Start-up and testing, Troubleshooting
Type of Industry/Work Setting Experience: Mining industry, Manufacturing
Type of Machinery or Equipment: Hoists and other lifting devices, Welding equipment, Lathes and other machining tools
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, Assemble machinery prior to installation, Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
