Primary role of the Intermediate Structural Engineer is to execute engineering design of Structures for Pipelines, Industrial Buildings with equipment, Mining, Power, Oil and Gas, Refining and Petrochemical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Works with a engineering group involved in the conception, planning and detailed design of projects, proposals and estimates
- Develops, implements and maintains existing and new design standards, guides, and procedures
- Mentors and facilitates mentorship of department employees
- Attempts to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues before elevating to the department management team
- Supports Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programs
- Must be proficient in specialty Engineering software like STAADPro, SFrame, etc.
- Performs analysis and calculations
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 6-10 years of related engineering experience
- Experience in an EPC environment
- Self-starter with an aptitude for problem solving
- The ability to work independently or as a member of a team
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills combined with a focus on customer service
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta or Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta
