Contract/Permanent skilled level position at mining group in Malawi in the Mining industry.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

• This individual will be responsible for the Warehouse Systems overseeing the data integrity generated by the GRN, Expenses issue and stock take functions and data used in the MRP functions.

KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Oversee the efficient capturing of data relating to receipt, storage and dispatch of consumable stores and reagents stores transactions.
• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock takes and audit of same to verify results.
• Provided reporting and MRP data to support sufficient inventory availability at an appropriate cost to support effective operations
• Asses the need for and develop, implement and coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems
• Provide expert business process functional knowledge to the inventory warehouse team to ensure alignment of process area requirements with the core ERP Syspro solution.
• Maintain the Daily/Monthly operational reports including statistical and performance analysis
• Assist with the development and implementation of warehouse adnstock control policies & procedures,
• Train and monitor staff in standard operating procedures SOPs relating to systems.
• Interact with procurement and creditors payment function to ensure appropriate administration of expediting and resolving potential bottlenecks in the Procure to Pay business process.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree or retaliated qualification in business management and logistics
• 3 years Working experience of Inventory management systems Syspro and advantage
• Ability to handle people under high-stress situations
• Ability to plan and direct priorities and meet deadlines
• Focus on service excellence and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and related business applications and transaction cycles
• Operational consumable stores experience – Advantage if in the mining industry
