Ecologists - All Levels - Consulting

Eco Recruitment is a specialist recruitment company with a niche focus on the the water industry, contaminated resources, eco solutions, mining & energy sectors. We aim to source high calibre professional candidates for our clients and interesting and environmentally sound opportunities for candidates.

We are working with a number of consultancies, contractors and operators who have need for Ecologists with specialists expertise in Aquatic (Marine/Freshwater) and Terrestrial (Flora/Fauna) Ecology. We are interested in hearing from suitably qualified and experienced environmental professionals to consider for opportunties throughout Australia.

Mid Level Roles:
  • Conducting ecological surveys (botanical, marine, freshwater)
  • Report writing
  • Client/contractor liaison
  • Some project management experience advantageous
  • Business Development
Senior / Principal Level Roles:
  • Strong technical capabilities in field based work (surveys)
  • Substantial experience managing, developing and mentoring teams
  • Significant background and success in project management
  • Budget management experience
  • Understanding of relevent state and federal legislation and how it applies to various projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for client liaison
  • Technical review of employees work
  • Business Development
To be considered for this role you will have a tertiary degree with a focus on Marine, Freshwater Ecology or Botany PLUS:
  • Additional Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment desirable
  • Experience in government and research also considered
  • Willingness to travel for work and committ long hours when required
  • Previous experience in a similar role
