Lead Process Engineer (Diamond / Coal Mining)

A leading projects company in minerals processing industry are offering a position for a Principal Mineral Process Engineer with design experience in diamond processing industries, (Comminution, Scrubbing, Milling, Screening, DMS, Recovery), to head up the process section within the Design and Engineering section

Education

• B.Eng / B.Sc / B.Tech Chemical or Metallurgical degree

Minimum Experience

• 10 + Years process design experience

Other Requirements

• Diamond / Coal processing design/operational experience will be an advantage
• Preferably experienced with DMS and final recovery processes
• Ability to translate client requirements into process solutions
• Good liaison and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to communicate with clients at senior technical level
• Must be willing to travel
• Working knowledge of Limn an advantage
• ECSA registration is an advantage

Responsibility:

• The Lead Process Engineer is responsible for managing the process resources in the Company and approves, controls and directs all aspects of the process design during the study, implementation and commissioning phases of a project.

Additional responsibilities:

• Ensuring that design controls such as checking and design reviews take place in accordance with good project management practice
• Final documentation is correct and formally issued and archived
• All client liaison concerning the plant  process and operational requirements
