Diesel Mechanic

Looking for a Diesel Mechanic for the Mining Industry

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or N2
  • Recognized apprenticeship
  • Relevant Trade Certificate as Diesel Mechanic
  • At least 2 years post qualification experience in a plant maintenance environment
  • Code EC Drivers’ license
  • Medically and physically fit.

Job Specification

  • The candidate will be required to maintain equipment according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications in a Chrome Processing Plant in Mooinooi.

Duties:

  • Maintenance of Front-end loaders, Bob Cats, Dump Trucks, Generators and other Company vehicles
  • Reports all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the General Manager
  • Minimizes down time due to breakdowns
  • Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
